England stars passed on their skills to young rugby players at the annual summer course at Millfield.

Over five days, 120 youngsters aged between eight and 14 were treated to expert tuition from a number of experienced players and coaches.

England prop Henry Thomas was among the Old Millfieldians who returned to the school, along with Bath duo Tom Ellis – an England under-20 player – and Chris Cook.

Coaches included former England 7s chief Russell Earnshaw and former England, British Irish Lions and Bath hooker Lee Mears.

The course was overseen by Millfield director of rugby John Mallett, a former pupil at the school who also played for Bath and England.

Millfield has an impressive record of producing professional and international players, including England captain Chris Robshaw.

Earlier this year, former Millfield pupils made up 20 per cent of the England team in the closing stages of the game which secured England the Triple Crown for the first time in 11 years.
