Rugby League: Nottingham Outlaws are set to kick-off a bid to raise £30,000 to build a permanent home for rugby league in the city.

The Project 30 campaign was launched to coincide what is the 30th anniversary for the game in the area.

The first major fundraising event will take place on June 7 with their match against Leicester Storm dubbed a heritage day.

To mark the occasion they will be playing in a specially designed strip based on the 1989 Nottingham City kit. Afterwards there will be an evening reception at The Wellbeck Hotel in the city, which will host an auction.

The evening will also be used to announce a Nottingham All Stars team, featuring the judges’ choice for the best ever starting 13 from the Nottingham area and all of the players chosen will be automatically inducted into the Hall of Fame on the night.
