Rugby Union: Wales" Ton-up Warren Gatland is one of best

Gatland becomes only the second coach in rugby history to oversee a century of Test matches when Wales face Tonga in Cardiff.

He follows in the footsteps of fellow Kiwi Henry – who also led both Wales and the British Lions, before lifting the World Cup with his home nation in 2011.

Henry, who was in charge for 142 Tests, said: “You have to be a bit mad to coach 100 Tests.

“It must be something to do with Kiwi DNA mixed with Wales – but Warren has done a superb job.

“What he has done, in winning the Six Nations with Grand Slams and with the Lions, shows he is up there with the top coaches of all time.”
