Lions skipper Sam Warburton reinstated as Wales captain for November Tests

Warburton was relieved of the captaincy in this year’s Six Nations, enabling to concentrate on his own game with Gethin Jenkins as captain when Wales won the Six Nations by trouncing England last March.

Gatland then made Warburton his Lions captain in Australia and said he and his co-coaches had not even needed to discuss his reinstatement now. Wales play South Africa on November 9, followed by Argentina, Tonga and Australia over the next three weekends.

There are three uncapped players – Rhodri Williams, Cory Allen and Eli Walker – as well as 13 of this year’s Lions in the squad, though the injured Jamie Roberts and Alex Cuthbert have been excluded.
