A mini edition of the wrap this week with just the three games of VB NSW Cup played over the weekend.
In fact there was only one match originally scheduled for Rd 18, however due to postponements of the Jets V Knights game back during the City V Country Rd and also the postponement of the Bears V Cutters game in Rd 16, we ended up with half a round of action.
The weekend kicked off in earnest when the Wentworthville Magpies hosted the Manly Sea Eagles in a game that would go a long way to deciding who may well end up in eighth spot come seasons end. Manly got on the board first when Ben Farrar crossed out wide, however that was to be about as good as it got for the Silvertails as the home side then scored 20 unanswered points until a late consolation try to Manly saw the game finish up 20-10.

And over at Henson Park on Saturday when an understrengthed Knights outfit took on a Jets side that were also missing some troops due to injury. And it was the home side that got out of the gates fast to lead 22-6 at half time, and despite a brief fight back by the Knights, lead by Timana Tahu, the Jets held on for a win that sees them in fifth place and knocking on the door of the top four.

A rare Monday night footy fixture in the VB NSW Cup was on display at North Sydney Oval last night and it was the Cutters who flew the lids and lead 14-6 early on after tries to Lelei, Seru and Mataka, but unfortunately for the Cutters faithful, the class of the Bears was too much to overcome in the second half as the home side ran in 30 unanswered second half points to re-establish themselves as one of the competition favourites.
