With the clock ticking down Streetâs troops looked on course to seal the win and take the series into a third and deciding Test as Katy McLeanâs 77th-minute penalty â her third of the match â had England leading 9-7.
But it wasnât to be as in injury time Winiata went over to add to Portia Woodmanâs earlier score, both converted by Kelly Brazier, to seal the dramatic victory.
With just one game left England know they will return from New Zealand as series losers, no disgrace against a side who have been crowned world champions four times.
However Street is urging his players to show what they are made if in Saturdayâs final Test, even if it is only pride they are fighting for.
He said: âWe played really well in the first half and were really on top but fair play to the Black Ferns who came back and got stuck into us.Â
âAny game between England and New Zealand is always going to be a hell of a battle and this was no different. It was a fantastic advert for womenâs rugby.Â
âAt the end of the day this result could have gone either way, and unfortunately it wasnât our day.Â
âIt is tough to take and weâll look at this and look to come back even stronger for the final Test because we donât want to go home without a win.â Â
