England rugby ace Mike Catt meets business leaders

Rugby World Cup winner and England coach Mike Catt has tackled opponents of a different kind – after meeting Doncaster business leaders.

The rugby ace spoke to more than 80 professionals and business owners at Doncaster Knights’ Castle Park Stadium at an event organised by Yorkshire Bank.

The holder of 75 England caps discussed his time as a British and Irish Lion, and shared his thoughts on this year’s squad.

Kevin Elliott, head of Yorkshire Bank’s Business and Private Banking Centre in Doncaster, said: “It was great to have Mike join us to give us his insight into the world of sport and his time at the pinacle of professional rugby.

“He took the opportunity to explain how teamwork and sports coaching techniques can be applied to business to ensure companies get the most from people.”

Earlier in the day Mike visited pupils at Hill House School and joined the school’s rugby team in a training session.

Headmaster David Holland said: “It was truly inspirational for the boys to have a coaching session with such a legend of the game.”
