The Bulls blew the chance to finish top of the Super Rugby standings after going down 30-13 to the Stormers in Cape Town. The Stormers will not feature in the finals this season, but put together a three-tries-to-one performance to deny the Bulls top spot and potentially a home grand final. The Chiefs will claim the minor premiership, and if they and the Bulls both win their semi-finals, the former will have first rights on hosting the decider. Morne Steyn kicked eight points for the losing Bulls, with Zane Kirchner scoring the try. The Stormers had each of Bryan Habana, Eben Etzebeth and Jean de Villiers cross for five-pointers, while Gary van Aswegen kicked 15 points via three penalties and three conversions.
