The Black Ferns have scored an injury time try to secure a
thrilling 14-9 win over England and secure the series at Waikato
Stadium tonight.
England appeared set to level the series at 1-1 after a third
penalty gave them a 9-7 lead with five minutes to play, but Selica
Winiata scored off a break to give New Zealand the win.
England led 6-0 at halftime through two penalties to first
five-eigth Katy McLean before Portia Woodman scored with around a
quarter of
an hour to go to put the Black Ferns ahead 7-6.
However, the visitors appeared to have stolen victory with a
penalty in the final two minutes, before Woodman and Winiata
combined for the brilliant try.
The third and final Test is in Pukekohe on Saturday.
