âWithout him in the Âsecond half at Warrington last ÂFriday, England had no Âleadership or organisationâ
It should be scrapped and replaced by an England v England A match, or a match where the probable starting line-up plays against the players who want in.
There was no intensity to the game, which in the main was a loose, scrappy affair â apart from a brief spell England had in the first half.
The Exiles players are not really prepared to put their bodies on the line because there is no light at the end of the tunnel with regards toârepresentative  rugby for them.
Their best player was Steve Menzies, 39, who played at centre and the number of fans in the crowd â 7,000 â tells you Âeverything you need to know about what this game has now become.
It would be better to have a match with more Âmeaning.
You could easily have a team full of young, aspiring players who want to show their hunger for an international call-up by knocking lumps out of the Âestablished international stars.
But apart from the half-back position â which, admittedly, is a big one â the signs for ÂEngland at the World Cup look positive.
Our back three of Sam Tomkins, Ryan Hall and Tom Briscoe or Josh Charnley is first-class â and I think we are covered at centre, which has been another big area of weakness in the past.
With the likes of Kallum Watkins, Zak Hardaker, Darrell Goulding and Ben Crooks to call on, we can be optimistic about the future.
And we all know that the pack will be as good â if not better â than any other at the World Cup.
