RUGBY UNION: Welsh are eyeing up top spot

Seb Stegmann replaces Nick Scott on the wing for London Welsh tonight

LONDON Welsh attempt to go top of the Greene King IPA Championship table when they travel to leaders Bristol tonight (7.45).

If the Exiles win and deny Bristol any bonus points, they will take over top spot.

Head coach Justin Burnell makes six changes for the clash in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

Seb Stegmann comes in for Nick Scott at right wing.

Tom Bristow, Nathan Vella and Peter Edwards replace Alec Hepburn, Nathan Morris and Paddy Ryan in the front row.

Richard Thorpe comes in at blindside flanker for the injured Mitch Lees, while Carl Kirwan replaces USA Eagles openside John Quill, who moves to the bench.

When the two teams met at the Kassam Stadium in November, Welsh came out on top 22-7 in a tough clash, with Alex Davies, Stegmann and Ollie Stedman scoring their tries.

PROP Billy Moss will join Bedford Blues from London Welsh next season.
