McShane was ordered to face the Rugby Football League’s disciplinary committee after being charged with a grade C offence of making dangerous contact with Hull KR forward Rhys Lovegrove during the Wildcats’ 44-6 Super League defeat at Craven Park on Sunday.
The 24-year-old McShane has been ever-present since joining Wakefield from Leeds in the close season and is now free to face his old team-mates on consecutive weekends, with the Wildcats going to Headingley for a Super League game on Friday week.
Bradford second rower Tom Olbison will miss his side’s Cup-tie against Oldham on Sunday after being found guilty of a dangerous tackle on Widnes forward Danny Tickle in Sunday’s 22-18 defeat by the Vikings.
Olbison was eligible to submit an early-guilty plea but opted to fight his case and he was given a one-match ban and a £300 fine after the committee downgraded the charge from C to B.
