OXFORD RL must keep focused following their excellent victory away to York City Knights in Kingstone Press Championship One last week.
Skipper Alex Thompson issued the warning ahead of their derby clash against University of Gloucestershire All Golds at Iffley Road today (3pm).
Thompson, who led his side to an unexpected 24-16 success over previously unbeaten Knights, said: âWe cannot now switch off and we have to push on and continue that momentum.
âThe All Golds cannot be underestimated as they have some experienced players in their side and have started off the season well.â
Last seasonâs matches between the two sides saw Oxford winning 40-30 at Cheltenham and the All Golds triumph 20-18 at Iffley Road.
The visitors, who like Oxford joined the league last season, lost 44-4 to Hunslet Hawks last time out.
But All Golds have won two of their four matches so far, against Gateshead Thunder 28-20 and South Wales Scorpions 29-17, while also suffering a 26-16 loss against York.
The good news for Oxford is that Glenn Osborn is back in training after an ankle injury and will be given a late fitness test.
Valu Bentley (ankle) is a couple of weeks away from full fitness.
