Rivaldo, eat your heart out.
A rugby player over in Samoa had supporters in stitches after one of the worst sporting dives of all time.
The incident occurred during a match between Vailele and Vaiala when handbags broke out.
Oops! A Samoan rugby player embarrassed himself by needlessly diving during a game
Minimal contact: After provoking his opponent, the player was harmlessly struck in the chest
Down he goes! The player fell to the ground in a heap clutching his head despite the blow to the chest
All smiles: The referee and other players found the funny side of the rather bizarre episode
The diver made a move for his opponent but then felt retaliation.
He was hit in the chest, had a cheeky look at the referee, and then went down clutching his head.
It’s perhaps not what you’d expect, but the supporters saw the funny side.
Raucous laughter could be heard from the stands which continued even as the two sides restarted with a scrum.
In fairness to the player in question, he got up relatively quickly with a smile on his face.
The referee had a wry smirk too, politely tapping the offender on the back in jest.
Remember this? The dive was akin to Brazilian Rivaldo’s against Turkey during the 2002 World Cup

I thought football was the sport for divers and all the players are women?
