England have unveiled their new home kit for the 2013-14 season ahead of the upcoming autumn internationals.

The shirt – manufactured by rugby specialists Canterbury for the second successive year – is white with a midnight blue trim, while the shorts are plain white and the socks are midnight blue. It will be worn during the 2014 Six Nations as well as the autumn Tests.

London Irish winger Marland Yarde was at the launch and the youngster – tipped to make a big impact for the Red Rose this season – said: ‘When you put on an England shirt before a match, you always think about the players that have been there before you and the people who have helped you get where you are.

‘You want to continue the tradition and perform at your best. I can’t wait to get the chance to wear it in front of a packed home crowd at Twickenham in a few weeks.’

Head coach Stuart Lancaster added: ‘Putting on an England shirt is a huge source of pride for the players and the white shirt is a critical part of England’s identity and our history and heritage.

‘We want everyone to feel part of this

England side, to feel a sense of connection and pride in the team and

to inspire more people to play and watch rugby.’

England face Australia, New Zealand and Argentina in the autumn Test, starting with the Wallabies on November 2.

The oversized Canterbury logo destroys it. Far too big. I love the style of the shirt but the logo does it no favours. Looking forward to the Internationals though.

I like it, but it is pretty much the same as before. Keep it white and traditional. I would prefer the CCC logo and bands to be navy tbh. We’ve deffo had worst. I really like the CCC stuff let hope it helps us play well

It’s white. Wasn’t the last kit white also. I bet the next kit will be white too. I still wear my country’s shirt I bought in 1989 – good quality and funnily enough still in the same national colour they wear now, and I don’t look out of place when I go out to watch the game.

Yes, and probably pretty good retro value now too! I love seeing the older team kit on fans at sports matches.

So I don’t know if many people know this but the white spacing within the 3 red C’S of the Canterbury logo is three shapes of kiwis (As you can see the beak and the head).

Therefore there are three kiwis on the English Rugby Kit, approx the same size of the Rose.

The colour is all white and the shirt makers logo is almost as big as the Rose of England!

I won’t be buying one!
